Terms and Conditions.

BOOKING:

  • A minimum spend of £400 is required when booking your Wedding Day hair and/or makeup services with Sophie Lucas Hair & Makeup. This does not include the cost of your pre wedding trial as this is billed separately due to the services being carried out on a separate date. 

Securing your Wedding Day booking

  • A booking fee of £200 will be required to secure your wedding date. This amount will be deducted from the final wedding day invoice. Without this deposit, the date cannot be secured. 

  • The Booking Fee is non-refundable upon cancellation of the booking at any time, except for the following:

  • 50% of the Booking Fee amount will be refunded should the client notify Sophie Lucas Hair & Makeup of cancellation within 48 hours after the Trial. The remaining 50% will be retained to cover administration services already rendered / reserving the event date and preventing further bookings being taken.

  • For bookings made less than 8 weeks prior to the wedding date, all final payments will be due up front to fully secure and confirm the booking.

   Securing your Trial

  • The trial fees for both the bride and bridal party, including any travel fees, are due 7 days prior to the trial date and are non-refundable.

PAYMENT: 

  • Payment can be made via BACS. Cheques and card payments will not be accepted. 

  • £200 of the wedding day invoice is payable to your artist to secure the date with the remaining balance being due 4 weeks prior to the event date. 

  • The final balance is non-refundable upon cancellation.

  • Failure to make full payment will result in termination of the appointment.

CANCELLATION: 

  • Cancelling services anytime between booking date and 8 weeks prior to your wedding will result in no further charge, any deposits paid will be retained. 

  • Cancelling services within 8 weeks of your wedding date

  • 50% of the final balance will be required and any deposits paid will be retained.

  • Cancelling any service within 1 month of your wedding date 

  • 100% of the quoted balance will be required and any deposits paid will be retained. 

  • Cancelling your trial services within 1 week of your appointment

  • 100% of the quoted balance will be required and any deposits paid will be retained

  • If it becomes apparent that clients have symptoms of any contagious viruses which include but are not limited to covid 19, conjunctivitis, herpes, head lice, we reserve the right to refuse the appointment without penalty to ourselves to avoid the serious risk of cross-infection and contamination. 

EXPENSES: 

  • Travel for weddings more than a 20 mile range from the artists location are additional are calculated at 50 pence per mile.

  • Additional expenses such toll charge, congestion charge and parking may be invoiced to the client separately.

  • If the appointment requires the artist to leave their location prior to 6 am, overnight accommodation will be required and invoiced to the client separately. 

WEDDING TRIAL

  • A wedding trial usually takes place around 3 months prior to the wedding date. 

  • Wedding trial appointments are taken Monday - Thursday in daylight hours. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are reserved for wedding bookings. 

  • Bridal trials usually take up to 2 hours for makeup or hair bookings and 3 - 4 hours for both a hair and makeup booking. If the client requires more time or requires another trial, this will be an additional cost and will be invoiced separately.

  • If the client is unhappy with the hair and/or makeup trial and choose not to proceed with the wedding booking, 50% of the Booking Fee amount will be refunded should the client notify Sophie Lucas Hair & Makeup of cancellation within 48 hours after the Trial. The remaining 50% will be retained to cover administration services already rendered / reserving the event date and preventing further bookings being taken. The trial however is non-refundable.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILTY

  • The client should inform Sophie Lucas Hair & Makeup of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment, this includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. Sophie Lucas Hair & cannot be held liable for any losses that are incurred due to the client’s failure to inform them of any know condition.

  • Sophie Lucas Hair & Makeup reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members the party for, but not limited too, abusive and threatening behaviour.

  • The client and anyone receiving hair and makeup services agree to release the artist from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.

  • Sophie Lucas Hair & Makeup accepts no liability whatsoever for any injury, damage or loss caused by the artist.

  • Sophie Lucas Hair & Makeup strongly suggests the client has wedding insurance.

PHOTOGRAPHY

  • The client agrees that Sophie Lucas Hair & Makeup may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the company’s website and social media pages unless the client has expressly withdrawn their consent in writing.

ASSISTANTS OR ADDITIONAL ARTISTS

  • An additional artist/Assistant may be required for larger bookings for an additional £80.00 per assistant plus any additional expenses such as travel/accommodation.

  • If Sophie Lucas Hair & Makeup recommends another supplier or an assistant for your event, the responsibility of that booking and that service is with both you and the supplier. Sophie Lucas Hair & Makeup cannot be held accountable.

COVID 19

Sophie Lucas Hair & Makeup requires clients to have tested negative on a lateral flow test kit before attending any appointment.

  • Bookings that have been affected by Covid 19 that require a new date will require the client to communicate with Sophie Lucas Hair & Makeup to check availability.

  • Sophie Lucas Hair & Makeup will aim to transfer the booking to the new date at no extra cost, however, if the new date is unavailable, the cancellation terms above apply.

  • Bookings changed to a different year may be subject to a price increase.

COMPANY CANCELLATION POLICY – PLEASE READ

  • In the unfortunate event that an artist is unable to perform services on the trial date or wedding date, for any reason, including but not limited to sickness, accident, weather, etc., reasonable accommodations shall be made up to and including a full refund of retainers for services not provided. Every effort will be made to replace the artist at short notice where possible, but this cannot be guaranteed and is subject to a replacement artists availability.
